| The activities of the Allied Museum are founded
in the "Charter for an Allied Museum in Berlin." It states that
the Museum's mission is to document the role the Western forces and their
commitment to Berlin and Germany as a whole in the years from 1945 to 1994,
portraying it in exhibitions and events. The Museum examines the political
and military history as well as exploring the everyday lives of the American,
British and French communities. The Museum presents both the perspective
of the Western forces and that of the Germans in depicting history. The
Museum is supervised in its substantive work by an advisory board, whose
members are from the four countries represented in the association of patrons. |
