 BROCHURE FOR CHILDREN

“Time travel in the Allied Museum with Babette, John and Mary” –
A companion brochure to the permanent collection for children aged
9 years and older

At ten selected stations in the permanent exhibition, children will have the opportunity to solve riddles, draw, and discuss what they have seen. The stations address the children's experiences and everyday lives or direct their attention to particularly interesting objects such as the “Candy Bomber” from the time of the Berlin Airlift or the Cold War-era spy tunnel.

The companion brochure is available from the Museum Shop for 3 Euro.
The brochure is only available in German. You can also download it as
a PDF file here. For further information, please contact Uta Birkemeyer: birkemeyer@alliiertenmuseum.de, Tel. + 49 30 818199-81,
Fax: + 49 30 818199-88.

Kids’ birthday parties

Psst! Kids’ birthday parties with a difference

How about celebrating your child’s birthday at the Allied Museum?

The Allied Museum will organize an “espionage birthday party” for your child under the motto “Top secret! The hunt for the missing secret document.“

Who among us hasn't dreamed of a fast and furious car chase à la James Bond? A fast car alone doesn't make an international top spy, however. A razor sharp intellect is far more important. For that reason, the young agents at the Allied Museum mainly have to use their heads when they follow the secret clues among the exhibition show cases, write messages in invisible ink and make brilliant deductions to crack the code. They will wear disguises in order to operate covertly. They will make their own agent IDs with their personal fingerprints to document their identity. Historical information will be conveyed in an entertaining manner, but the emphasis will be on having fun. Children's fascination with everything secret, including ciphering techniques, will awaken and promote their curiosity about postwar history. A number of games making use of an agent's most important abilities (good observation skills, working undercover, fast reactions, deciphering secret codes) will introduce the children to the contents of the Allied Museum's permanent collection.

Duration: approx. 2 ½ hours

When: Daily except Wednesday

Number of participants: 10 children

Age: 9-12 years

Cost: 120 Euro (there will be a supplement of 30 Euro for Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays)

Please register well in advance.

We are happy to offer children’s birthday parties in English and French as well.
