 BROCHURE FOR CHILDREN

Children’s birthdays
Psst! Kids’ birthday parties with a difference!

Your child can celebrate an “espionage birthday” with his or her friends at the Allied Museum under the motto “Top secret! The hunt for the missing secret document.”
Who hasn’t dreamt of hair-raising car chases like James Bond? A fast car alone does not make an international master spy, however. Far more important is a brilliant mind.
The young secret agents at the Allied Museum will therefore mainly be using their heads when they follow hidden traces among the display cases and break secret codes. In order to operate covertly, the birthday child and his or her guests will wear disguises. They will make their own agent ID cards complete with fingerprints to document their identity.
Children’s birthdays at the Museum convey historical information in an entertaining manner, with an emphasis on fun and games. We use children’s fascination with all things secret to awaken their curiosity about the postwar history of Berlin, and to introduce them playfully to the Allied Museum’s central themes.

Duration: approx. 2.5 hours
When: daily except Wednesday
Maximum number of participants: 10 children
Age: 9-12 years
Cost: 120.00 Euro (supplement: + 30.00 Euro from Friday to Sunday and on holidays)

Please book well in advance.
We will be happy to offer children’s birthdays in English and French as well.

“Time travel in the Allied Museum with Babette, John and Mary” –
A companion brochure to the permanent collection for children aged
9 years and older

At ten selected stations in the permanent exhibition, children will have the opportunity to solve riddles, draw, and discuss what they have seen. The stations address the children's experiences and everyday lives or direct their attention to particularly interesting objects such as the “Candy Bomber” from the time of the Berlin Airlift or the Cold War-era spy tunnel.

The companion brochure is available from the Museum Shop for 3 Euro.
The brochure is only available in German. You can also download it as
a PDF file here. For further information, please contact Uta Birkemeyer: birkemeyer@alliiertenmuseum.de, Tel. + 49 30 818199-81,

Family Tour

Of Spies and Chocolate Pilots:
A Family Tour of the Allied Museum for Young and Old

The Allied Museum would like to invite families with children between the ages of eight and fifteen to take a family tour of the permanent exhibition.

During the tour, kids and their parents will gain useful insights into the early period of the occupation of Berlin and have the opportunity to explore a genuine Airlift plane and take a closer look at the Berlin Spy Tunnel together.

The tour on the trail of the Allies lasts approximately 90 minutes.

The dates will be announced about six weeks in advance on the Museum website.
