The Allied Museum’s picture and audio/film archives can be used in conjunction with current affairs reporting, other uses, and research. Access to the archives requires a written request, an appointment, and approval of the Allied Museum.
The user agrees to comply with all copyright regulations when using material from the Allied Museum archives.
Much of our archival material comes from official sources. That material is in the public domain. It is out of copyright and can be used without limitation. We charge fees solely for provision and handling of such material.
For all material for which the Allied Museum holds the licensing rights, we charge fees for use of the material in addition to the handling costs. Under special circumstances, particularly for non-commercial use or a cooperative project, we are available to discuss an adjustment of those fees.
